About Credit IQ LLC
Frank Remund is dedicated to helping his clients make better financial decisions. Equipped with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the University of Washington (where he was also captain of the Men’s Track and Field team) and years of real-world corporate experience, Frank stands ready to provide the professional advice you need.

Since graduating from the U of W, Frank has worked for a Fortune 500 Company in the Beaverton, Oregon area and as a manager and financial advisor for a multimillion dollar family corporation. He brings a wealth of knowledge about small business finance as well as an understanding of personal credit and investing to all of his client interactions.

"From my own investment experiences, I learned that the compensation to investment advisors was not always transparent," Frank says. "Payment to advisors from the organizations receiving client investments was not always clearly disclosed, and this began to bother me more and more. This creates a potential conflict between the interests of the client and advisor – you have to stop and ask yourself whose needs come first? Will the advisor be swayed by the financial benefits that come from collecting a product-based commission? These types of questions are one of the main reasons I chose the new model of Fee-Only financial advising."

Now offering independent advisory services under the banner of Credit IQ, LLC, Frank’s firm is a Registered Investment Advisor in the state of Oregon and Washington. This means he is sworn to serve a "fiduciary capacity" and must always put his clients’ interests first. When you work with Frank, you can be confident that his advice is based on your financial success -- not the payment made to him from any other party. Because all compensation comes directly and solely from his clients, Frank does not have the built-in conflicts of interest that most advisors face when they work on either a commission or fee-based way.

"It is important for the general population to understand that there is a big difference in how Fee-Only advisors work and get paid. Fee-Only means that fees come only from the client. Fee-based means that there might still be some commissions tucked in there."

Frank also believes that not every person needs ongoing and continuous investment advice like he once offered as a financial advisor for the multimillion dollar family corporation. "If you do wish to have continuous management of your investments, you can choose to pay an assets-under-management fee. If continuous management is not something you need or desire, we can work together on an hourly, as-needed or per-project basis. Either way, you can rest assured that there are no hidden fees. In addition, I will return to you any commissions or fees I receive from any source other than you."

Franks views financial planning and investment advice as a process requiring understanding and cooperation between client and advisor. "Clients have different needs and desires. My job is to help you set and reach your goals. When you are successful, I am successful. That is what it is all about."

Contact Frank for a confidential conversation to discuss your needs, no strings attached.
